Hey, I bought one of these base Accu Measure caliphers for what I thought was a steal. Little did I know they sell them with a book. I just got a little print out. I'm kind of confused. If anyone could give me a link to something that is more detailed or give me a really good directions I'd be very appreciative. So far I've been going a inch above the highest part of my hip bone. I'm getting wild fluctuations. Any tips at all would be appreciated.

fluctuations are quite normal. are you doing them different times of the day? are you certain it is the exact spot. I find it best to measure each area 2X or so and then take the average to give the best reading for the specific area.

did you check the booklet that came with it for a wedsite? try searching google.

there's no secret to it...just takes practice and more practice

the instructions are simple so you think there would be more to it...but there isn't

And yes, you shouldn't really measure at different times of the day. Measure at the same time of day under the same conditions every time. To start you could do the test every day at the same time so you can get the hang of it. Simply do it 3 times and record the average and move on...do the same thing the next day and so on.

By the end of one week you should be pretty decent with it...then you can start measuring just once a week.

i have a scale that measures bf. i realize its far from accurate but as long as my reading decreases each week, the actual # is irrelevant.
