Is it a waste of time/money b/c they(skin calipers) are not even close to accurate?.....GNC sells this kit for approx 50 bucks.....Is there a certain kind/brand that is better?.....

Personally I think it comes down to the person using them, but cheaper calipers can help increase the probability for inaccurate measurements

Thanks, I suppose the more detailed-oriented would have a better reading for accuracy......jeez, I realized after I posted this that its quite a common f'n question.....anyways, thanks again

No prob man, if your gym does body comp I would have them do it, that's what I do and they don't use the cheap calipers.

calipers aren't very accurate..but still can be used as a gauge of progress..here is a video of john meadows doing a hydro-static test a day after a show..and that guy gets peeled like many others cant..5.7% bf..that should shed some light on caliper accuracy...
