Accutane dosage

Yup, I have used that exact product. It was a miracle drug. Just keep doses reasonable.
No dude I'm totally kidding. Personally I don't know why anyone would ever fuck with this shit. I'm open minded to a bunch of different ways of doing things and different life styles but this is not something you'd ever catch me balls deep in, shit, I'd rather cut my gear with rubbing alcohol or battery acid then mess with this stuff. I see more of those TV ads for lawers asking people that got fucked up by accutane to step forward for settlements more than I see those Mesothelioma commercials. Honestly guys, I know alot of you are in it for the short term "I wanna look good and feel great" kinda attitude but I'm telling you this as a bro, that this stuff isn't really worth it and if you decide to take it that's fine I'm just here to try to steer you in other directions because I don't want to see anyone get hurt. If you're going to take Accutane, don't take it without a Dr.'s prescription. Reason being, if you take it with a prescription and get fucked up from it you'll get medical compensation and a settlement "big lump some of cash" If you take it from an online supplier or a research chem site you're just asking for problems

That's a great opinion, and that being said it is your opinion.
You have obviously never used it so I find it ironic that you're going off of here say and media reports off of the televison as a basis for your conclusion.
You're not steering anyone away from it with this post, all you're doing is explaining your opinion and your stance on the subject. Everyone reacts different to a substance and I can say from personal experience being someone who has actually used this that you are totally over blowing things here. It's like you googled some information and ran with it instead of having first hand knowledge and experience with it. Do you really think that tren (which isn't approved for human use unlike accutane) is any less harsh than accutane? Where are the studies on tren? That's right there aren't any.
Then you state if you're going to take it only take it under the supervision of a Dr. so you can get a big cash settlement. Doesn't that go against what you're posting in the first place, that it's dangerous? If that's the case (and you've stated it) why take it in the first place? You're kind of contradicting yourself, "take it but only if you're going to get paid for getting screwed up". Instead of don't take it period.
Of all of the sides you've mentioned the only one I ever had was dry lips, nothing else. I've had numerous blood work ups done during the 6 month cycle of it and several times after, nothing was out of range, nothing. Liver values, cholesterol, hormone panel and thyroid panel. Everything was in range. When I started I never had an issue with my skin getting worse before it got better, it started clearing up in a matter of a couple of weeks time. My acne never came back, not even a little and it's been several years. One course 20mg ED for 6 months and that was it.
I think you are totally exaggerating the sides and the danger of this compound. Years ago Dr's. were prescribing too high a dose, (60-80mg) ED, where as more studies were done most people can easily get away with using 20-40mg ED, and 40 is on the high side.
Bottom line, is it harsh, yes if you're not taking any type of liver support, fish oil, drinking enough water and running a high dose.
I'm not hating on you or your post, I just have a totally different opinion from my actual use of it, nothing more.

I can respect that bro and I totally understand the side you're coming from as well. As far as contradicting myself goes, no I didn't. What I'm saying is if someone decides to take it then that's fine I'm obviously not going to be able to stop them/you, but what I'm getting at is if you do decide to take the drug you're better off going the professional route through your doctor because like I said if something goes wrong and you happen to become one of those "not so lucky statistics" then you have the option of medical compensation for your illness caused by the medication, if you get it online through various suppliers and something bad happens to you then your just shit out of luck. I'd rather see a bro get fucked up and get compensation then see a bro get fucked up and just be fucked up with nothing to show for it other than clear skin, but then again I'd rather see a bro not take that drug at all. Just tryin to help look out for guys not start any arguements, I mean well.

This guys like a media outlet, all hysterical talking points with no sources cited and no statistics to refer to. He's repeating the personal injury lawyers talking points with total disregard to the facts surrounding the matter.
The air you breathe, the water you drink can give you cancer. In fact, if you live long enough, you have nearly a 99% chance of getting cancer. You think using Tren is any safer than accutane? At least one has many formal studies done on humans, tren is a cattle drug.
As far as all the other sides, how many times on a board like this have you seen reports of them? I've only read one complaint of any serious side effect of accutane on a board like this - and that was for inflammatory bowel disease, the particular person think it caused it. Not saying this is statistical by any means, but it does give you an idea of how things are overstated for sensationalism.
Not that I dont think all those side effects are possible with accutane, I think the occurrence is quite a bit lower than the perception here.
I respect your decision to not use the drug. It worked well for me, and thats the experience I typically share.

I don't need to show statistics or references, if you decide not to believe me of the possible outcomes of consuming the drug then that's fine. If you really want to know that deep into it I'm sure you can dig that up somewhere, but as far as your statement goes you basically said the exact same thing as the guy 3 posts up from you. Although I do respect your opinion and the time you took to write it so I repped you anyway.

BACKGROUND: The efficacy of isotretinoin at 0.5 to 1.0 mg/kg per day in the treatment of acne is well established and considered safe, although it is sometimes not easily tolerated because of its cutaneous side effects. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of low-dose isotretinoin in the treatment of acne. METHODS: In this prospective, noncomparative, open-label study, 638 patients, both male and female, with moderate acne were enrolled and treated with isotretinoin at 20 mg/d (approximately 0.3-0.4 mg/kg per day) for 6 months. The patients were divided into two age groups: 12 to 20 and 21 to 35 years old. Patients were evaluated at 2-month intervals by means of clinical and laboratory examinations. A 4-year follow-up was also carried out. RESULTS: At the end of the treatment phase, good results were observed in 94.8% of the patients aged 12 to 20 years, and in 92.6% of the patients aged 21 to 35 years. Failure of the treatment occurred in 5.2% and 7.4% of the two groups, respectively. Twenty-one patients dropped out of the study because of lack of compliance, and another patient discontinued participation because of a laboratory side effect. During the 4-year follow-up period, relapses of the acne occurred in 3.9% of the patients aged 12 to 20 years and in 5.9% of the patients aged 21 to 35 years. Elevated serum lipid levels (up to 20% higher than the upper limit of normal value) were found in 4.2% of the patients and abnormal (<twice the upper limit of normal values) liver tests were observed in 4.8%. LIMITATIONS: This was a noncomparative, open-label study. CONCLUSION: Six months of treatment with low-dose isotretinoin (20 mg/d) was found to be effective in the treatment of moderate acne, with a low incidence of severe side effects and at a lower cost than higher doses.

The reasons why you hear such negative things about Accutane, could possibly be related to the fact that it's a drug used by...TEENAGERS! Now, think about this, do teenagers like to wait? No. They want to fit in with their peers and having acne this aggressive will cause them to have emotional problems.
What most teenagers don't realize is that it doesn't work overnight. Granted it's ABSOLUTELY contraindicated for pregnant females because it's a category X drug, responsible adults taking a low dose hypothetically speaking, "shouldn't" have any negative side effects.
The thing is, doctors will want to have you go in for routine lab work because it CAN mess with your liver enzymes and function. People need to understand that every body is different and that once that drug enters into your system, the pharmacodynamics and kinetics will not be the same for everyone.

You still have yet to address the fact that tren is more toxic and dangerous than accutane in a dose of 20mg ED. I would really like to hear your comments on the subject.

Yea out of the 16+ lecture hours and clinicals that I took one semester, that was the only class I enjoyed. About 80% of what I do and will do in the future revolves around pharm, so having a good understanding of it is necessary
