Acne-Like Rash from Hair Removal?!

Got the hair removed from my forearms a few days ago and now I've got this baddass rash that looks similar to acne. Some lumps even pop like zits!
Anybody experienced this? I used an antiseptic cream but it didn't seem to help.

Probably ingrown hairs and it takes weeks to clear up (at least for me). I read on here that coconut oil helps. I plan on trying that next time.

When my sister owned a day spa she talked me into letting her wax my back before I went on a float trip. Huge mistake, I had little zit looking bumps from my neck to the top of my ass for the whole summer.

This is the problem here. I had the hair plucked out with an electric hair remover and now I've broken out. I've had them from shaving but never this bad. I thought Id just remove the hair as it was growing back thicker everytime.

Other guys get their back waxed often, I hope this doesn't last too long.

yeah, you have to be careful that stuff, I tried it once many years ago and ended up with a rash, shaving is safer and easier IMO.

Have you ever waxed or used a hair remover (plucked)? Is the rash factor the reason guys prefer to shave? I assumed that with the hair revoved it would make it easier to manage.

One of my buddies used that once and left it on for 40 minutes instead of the maximum 20 and had to go to the ER for chemical burns.

I use Veet. Leave it on for no more than 10 min! Wipe it off in the shower with a wash cloth and you are golden...no rash or bumps/ingrown hairs!

ive waxed, naired, shaved, and used a bunch of other gimick products. waxing works ok, if its not on a sensitive area for me. i can get my back done, but my chest breaks out bad. the only way i dont have issues is if i use a trimmer. if you do shave or use nair/wax then you need to exfoliate, thats the most important thing.
