Adam and Eve......

Canada recently introduced a bill that redifine's marrige for Gay couples, who want to be wed in the eyes of the law. To put it simply: "Male and Female, He Created Them"Gen 1:24....Adam and Eve NOT Adam and Steve. Don't you all agree? That's my 0.02

Hi The,

I think everyone is entitled to live their life without someone else interferring especially in private matters.

Marriage is a man-made thing. Read about the history of marriage.

As for "Adam and Eve" - remember the Bible was written by MEN and is the words of MEN - over 40 and over a long period of time each with their own interpretation. It is a Bible story. The Bible is a collection of literature, poems, prose, etc. The Bible is just one "religious" book. Many "religions" have their own "books" each with their writings.

Anyone that is of age and ability of consent and gives that consent freely must be able to enter into a union if that is what they want. It is entirely a private matter. But by doing so they then gain the legal rights and privledges now afforded only to people who are currently "married".

"Marriage" can be limited to something that is a civil union preformed in a religious institution. It can be a form of a "religious function". Everyone should be allowed to enter into a "civil union" or whatever term can be agreed to by everyone for the purposes of legally recording and having the same rights that should apply to all people so engaged. And those "civil unions" can be performed by a government official perhaps and in a public building.

But everyone must have the very same rights and privledges. "Religious teachings" must never enter into a private matter such as this legislatively speaking because there are thousands of religious each with their own "beliefs".

The homosexual "boom" has already happened and continues to happen. It is now cool to have gay shows on TV and gay parades in the major cities all the time. Do straight people have Straight pride parades? I went to Boston last summer and it just so happened that it was the weekend of the Gay pride parade. Nothing like walking through the city and seeing some guy in assless chaps sucking face with a sailor on a park bench. Not that I'm into seeing straight people make out in public, but 2 dudes going at it is something i'd rather not witness.
I am a little conservative for this issue and should have probably kept my mouth shut, but oh well, thats my rant.

Straight pride parades? Well, shoot - every television program since 1948, every commercial, every magazine, nearly every cartoon, every Christmas parade (Mr. and Mrs. Claus), every birth announcement, every death announcement, every wedding announcement, every political candidate who slaps a pic of his "family" into the campaign brochure. Nearly every movie has a parade of straight pride relationships, most clubs are all about straight pride, most products being sold are pushed for their appeal to straights. . .so the parade is endlessly marching, 24/7.

I will agree about publicly making out - bothers me too, no matter who the couples are. I think gays view it as a political action, though - since they risked physical harm or arrest for simply holding hands in public for years, it's likely a statement with more meaning. That doesn't make me like it any better - I just understand it more than watching two straight teenagers fondle each other in the entrance area of the local shopping mall.

there "are" no more homos now than 10 years ago...Some of us have simply chosen to ignore the hate(for lack of a better word) and live our lives as we please , out of the infamous closet!

I agree with you to an extent. If uve never seen a homosexual(well, first u need to get out more but thats beyond the point) and are only "confronted" with the mediatized image of flaming fags in braless drag outfits blowing kisses outta their naked ass, or topless 400 pound dykes, wearing nothing but a dog leash and collar during the gay pride parade, I see how u can easily become biased, or judgemental towards such actions...U have to try to remember that this is a parade, a party, much like mardi gras or spring break where bare titties and ass are the norm! I beleive that its outta place to be making out in public(MAKING OUT, not holding hands, or kissing my wife as we say goodbye for the day in front of her work etc) whether u are gay or straight! I dont exacly cherish the sight of two teenage lovebirds fondling each other on the bus either u know!its a parade, a celebration, not a reflection of the daily life of a homosexual!
Homosexuals are not to blame for the outburst of "gay tv"...networks are!! the do it for a very simpel reason: RATINGS! Whether the feedback is good or bad, they dont care, what matters is that people talk about their shows, and if throwing in a couple of lesbians is what it takes, theyll do it!

Finally, straight people get to hold hands, kiss, and be with each other in public everyday, with no fear of bashing or protestation...For a lot of gays, pride week or parade is the one and only occasion to be out there, amongst people who wont judge, terrorize or insult u...The one day or week where u can be who u are, what u are, freely! especially for people from small town or counties, who often go back home to their seemingly heterosexual lives, for fear of being persecuted!

I attend the local parades, fully dressed, in my usual clothes, with my children on my shoulders, wearing my pride to be who I am on my sleeve and in my heart...daily.

there are some much loved gay people here at im. it's okay to express your view but i would suggest you keep in mind this little scenario.... god or buddah or a tree... whoever you think molded earth n all this comes personally to you n says he/she/it wants you to not be attracted to women. it is not his/her/it's design for you to be attracted to the opposite sex. you are commanded to love men, desire them, cleave unto them.... how hard would that be? never lift a thought toward a woman again... not one. sorry tonite i'm still thinking about vanity the gods can go blue in the face but even if i with all my heart were want to please them i could not change my desire. i suspect in that we are all alike ...

Hi Bullet,

ABSOLUTELY NOT. It is that I have to respond to what is written. That can take time - which I am limited to just as with everyone else here.

Hell when I make the simple statement that Muscle IS GUARANTEED as long as a person uses his head with regard to proper exercises each done perfectly and with proper form, proper rest, proper nutrition, I get those that disagree here as well.

It is sometimes hard to catch up or move to another topic. I do try to talk about other things for sure.

Hi Hillside,

With regard to Gay parades - I'd bet that there would be none at all if it were not for the oppression of those who happen to be BiSexual and/or Homosexual by "christians". And those parades do not reflect ALL the viewpoints of all those who are Bisexual and/or Homosexual.

"Straight" people do not have "straight" parades because they are not oppressed sexually-speaking. "Straight" people do not have to "march" for their equality with regard to Sex because they already have that equality.

Most who are BiSexual and Homosexual you'd never know. They very well could be your very best friend(s) and you just do not know it.

Both have their place. Personally I prefer the crunchy ones. I used to work for Frito-Lay. I've had my fair share of free Cheetos. :)

Mmmm....Cheetos.....

I wonder if a crunchy Cheeto could marry another crunchy one, or if it has to be strictly crunchy/puffy in a Cheeto wedding. I wonder if the crunchy Cheeto is considered the male, of it the puffy one is. I'd think the crunchy Cheeto would be the male in the Cheeto relationship. I don't know, that's just my gut feeling.

I like Bugles too.

Oh, I haven't had Bugles since I could stick them on my fingers, They were great.

I dont see why a cheese puff and another cheese puff should be able to marry, thats just crazy, what would the other snacks say? What will the parents of the other cheese balls think? I dont want to see two crunchy Cheeto's going at it on a park bench! Next thing you know there will be a 'Gay Frito's Parade' in MY town, and ooh the shame it will bring...

Get over it people. Studies show that over 90% of women get "turned on" by other women. I forget the male number but it was surprisingly high. Its not a poll or survey, it had to do with stimulations in the brain. Am I comfortable with seeing a couple of guys going at it on a bench, No, but there is no reason for castigation, or blame for it. In the same way you cant blame someone who likes Big women or has a foot fetish, or being an ass man or preferring tits. Different strokes for different folks.

PS Jonh H. please dont quote me then post a response, you are weird
other are more than welcome :)

I dont really give a fuck what they do. Let em marry and screw all they want. Im not involved so fuckit.
