You guys are getting way to touchy. I'm not impressed that one guy can eat his way to victory. Personally, I don't care about the powerlifting community. Sure, it's great sport for some people. But *in my opinion* it's not much of a sport at all. Good for him, lifting all that weight. Just saying, I'm not impressed.

As for the question, can I swim a 500m in 5 minutes, run a marathon, and do 50 pull-ups.. I can get pretty close =). .Very close. Soon, I will be able to. As for the bench press, physically impossible for me to accomplish that and be an endurance athlete.

Glad you all look up to him, and acknowledge his accomplishments. I just look at it and go "Great, big man lifted some weights." *shrug*. I didn't say he was a bad guy, or his accomplishment was in vain. I'm just saying what I said.

It's just impressive to say the least. So you don't like powerlifting?? Big deal, I don't like hot dogs but that kobe-whatever guy that can eat like 50 of em within a few minutes...now THAT'S impressive!!! See what I mean? U don't have to dig something to realize that it is in fact a feat and the person has a gift.

The fact is that everyone on this site could eat enough to weigh as much as this guy and not bench half of 715lbs. So it's a feat. Making it impressive. The super negative attitude you display comes off as extreme jealousy. Makes you come off as some kind of elitist snob who thinks they are better at everything than other people, and when you aren't, you downplay them and belittle their accomplishments.

You are just a sad, sad little man.

50 pullups and run a marathon? Do you even KNOW how many miles a marathon is and how much specific training a person devotes to do that?? You are a joke man...a real piece o work.

Congratulations. :clapping:

You have just won the owner award of the month. :clapping:

No, what YOU said was "If he could run a marathon, swim a 500m in 5 minutes, do 50 pull-ups then immediatly after bench that weight, then I'd be impressed =)".

So what we said was "Can you run a marathon, swim a 500m in 5 minutes, and do 50 pull-ups in succession". If you say yes, you are full of shit. Actually if you could do any one of those, I would be impressed, but I don't like your attitude. If one could just "eat their way" to a world record, trust me everyone would be doing it. Imagine that, no steroids, just a lot of food.

Just like if all an endurance athlete had to do was take EPO, and it makes them world class in their chosen sport. It's not that simple.

Its a bodybuilding website.

Things like strength and size matter around here.

Impressive, but near 2 is not 2, and in competition he isn't putting up gym numbers (nobody really does). In the gym Mendy was putting up I believe 705x2 before he was into the raw 700s in competition.

Regardless, people love to shoot down those on top. This guy is strong, period.

God damn, you touchy women.

I dont care if you dont like my opinion, just like you dont care for my opinion.

So, :offtopic:

Maybe we should all chill out and listen to Tannywild. Maybe the guy is 10x stronger than Tannywild could ever imagine. Maybe at age 15 this guy could have crushed Tannywild's miniscule spine. So what? What's impressive about a guy who may possibly be better at an event than every person who ever preceeded him? :hmmm:

Tanny has a wild tricep showing in that avatar.

Wow.

*sigh*

didn't mean for this to go this way, just posting my opinion. God help me for doing so in a world that is so damn defensive.

G'luck guys.

run a marathon

And you just ran 26 miles away from him, greeeeat ;) People do what they enjoy, if muscle is not your thing - why the flexing in your avatar, how about a pic of you jogging.

Who cares if he is +3 bills? Who cares if he might have +20% BF. He is living his dream and achieving his goals and I think we should give him some credit for doing it.

Bravo. :clapping: There are too many Triumph wannabees, for me, to poop on.

I run 15 miles a day. You don't have to believe me.

I was just posting my opinion. You guys gave him props, I said it didn't impress me. It was a simple statement, and you guys are blowing it up.

Good day =)

I used to run 4-8 miles a day, with a once a week 10-12 mile run. So I understand endurance. But you coming on to a bb site and making that statement would be like me going onto a running site and saying "so he ran a 15k averaging 4:40 minutes a mile. It doesn't IMPRESS me because he only weighs 98 lbs. It doesn't impress me that someone can starve themselves down to under 100 lbs, or by virtue of being small, they can ran such fast times."

Does that make any sense to you?

BTW, I believe you can run 15 miles a day, and I am impressed with that.... but dude log on to a running site and leave the weights to us beefy boyz :)

hehe Jersey, I understand.

I got started here I think about a year ago, and I was bodybuilding at the time.

You're right, I dont have much respect for runners either though! I respect the Jack of all trades, master of none motiff. Maybe that's just it.

I'm not a hardcore runner, but I run. I can swim, like f'n nemo. I can bench almost double my body weight (well, once). Can do many pushups, many many situps, and even more pull-ups.

I'm not sure why I posted on the training forum, you're right, I do gotta get outta here. But I still get so much valuable information from the Supplements/Dieting section, and still feel I have some valuable information to add. (Aside from my occasional brain fart, ie. posting on a weight lifting training forum that weight lifting isn't impressive)

=) Keep on keepin' on.

The supplements/diet section here is one of the best on the web. We are lucky to have such knowledgable people here. By all means, keep on posting :thumb: . Just keep your stupid weightlifting opinions to yourself ...:joke: :D
