Restarting the Q&A!

Anyone feel free to contribute.

ONLY WARNING - If you derail the thread I'll put you in time out. So don't be a dick. Guys wanted input so, let's go!

How old were you when you really started training?

Did you have any influences that pushed you to training?

Favorite type of training?

Any memorable lifts of Pr's you've had?

Thank you @Vision for the topic!

26 but I've always done physical heavy constant lift jobs
Influence was Jeff cavalier
Favorite training is db chest and walking the box
My best was 12 sets of 10 bench press using 60 pound dumb bells. I normally don't have stamina and struggle to do 3/2/2 flat incline decline

Sheesh, I think I was 61, but that is not a for sure.

The thing that got me to commit to train was when I tried to water ski and couldn't hold onto the rope to pull out of the water on one ski! I'd skied since I was 10 years old so this was a real eye opener. Too much office sitting so I had to do something.

I really like training with my trainer or a buddy, if I'm alone, I don't push as much so I need the motivation of a trainer or buddy to compete against.

Most memorable was when I was able to bench my weight. Mark (my trainer) had been working me with low weight high rep until failure for a few weeks and then one day it was ok lets see whatcha got! I was just so happy how much strength I had gained; it was such a great feeling!

Since then, last January, I tore my left arm triceps muscle off my elbow and had to have a surgery to reattach, then Dec 5 had surgery to fuse L4 & L5. Can hardly wait to get back to the gym, but have to wait for the vertebrae to fuse. Take care of your body you young guys it has to last your whole life!
