the sad thing is military will never make it on that list. There are marines, sailors, airmen, and soldiers that have done more for this country and community that any of those people, spilled more blood for this land and shed some of their own. I never understood how someone can make millions of dollars at a deskjob because they know the right people and someone who is killing bad guys and that will have to live with nightmares for the rest of their lives barely makes 40k.

military service in economics is nothing more than another form of labor. the average pay of military servicemen is equal to that in the private sector, that's the way it's always been. only a small percentage of elites serve and when do they they are officers and generally out of harms way.
