Another ???Heart Attack Grill??? customer collapses while eating ???bypass burger???

By Eric Pfeiffer
April 24, 2012

No one can accuse The Heart Attack Grill of false advertising.

A woman collapsed into unconsciousness at the Las Vegas restaurant while eating a "double bypass burger," drinking a margarita and smoking a cigarette.

The unnamed customer was the second in just over two months to collapse at the restaurant while eating one of the famed burgers named after various forms of cardiac arrest. Back in February, another customer was caught on video being carted out by paramedics after suffering a heart attack while eating a "quadruple bypass" burger.

The Heart Attack Grill's owner Jon Basso tells ABC News that the woman is currently recovering in the hospital. Basso told ABC that he himself has eaten at least one single bypass burger each day since his restaurant first opened seven years ago.

"It's a lifestyle issue," Basso said. "We attract the avant-garde of lifestyle seekers."

The Heart Attack Grill offers free meals to any customer who weighs over 350 pounds and features a butterfat milkshake, nonfiltered cigarettes, "flatliner" fries and four burgers, each rated on an ascending scale of "a single bypass" to the "quadruple bypass."

There's a tongue-in-cheek warning sign at the restaurant's door stating that the offered dining fare is a health risk. Waitresses in the restaurant even wear nurses' uniforms.
Last year, the company's 600-pound spokes-model died when he was only 29-years-old.

"It's the Mecca for unhealthy lifestyles," Bosso said.

honestly, I think that this is ridiculous. I cant believe they would be happy about offering such unhealthy food. At the least, I think kids should not be allowed to eat there. Obesity in children is becoming a huge problem and things like this only make it worse.

Then they should close every bar and casino across the country too. These people are a Big Mac away from death by the time they get to Heart Attack Grill, if they didn't have one their it would be at the salad bar across the street as they smother those 2 leaves of lettuce in ranch, bacon bits and boiled eggs....

Man I want a cheeseburger now. I'd tackle one of the quads with ease.

Heart Attack Grill didn't kill those fat fucks, a bad lifestyle did. That story is just the epitome of sensational journalism. 99% of food chains in this country sell dangerously unhealthy food to fat fucks. Heart attack Grill is just making fun of it all by being honest. The truth is 10 times funnier than anything you can make up.

How many fat fucks have died in restaurants in America? I would bet on thousands. But two have died at HAG, and somebody thinks that is story worthy? Fucking shitheads.

Exactly, the restaurant in itself is a parody of those people who died's way of life, if they ate and died there they just played right into the gimmick the owner was aiming for...

the quality of fast food aside weak parents raise obese children. you don't get overweight consuming a diet of mostly whole foods, the calories just aren't there. but the main problem IMO is the parents who eat junk, their children model after them and also follow diets high in processed foods, it sucks for the child but what are you going to do. it's quite obvious the US as a whole, not a very bright country and many people are soft and weak with no real sense of self-discipline. following a healthy diet takes effort, following an unhealthy diet takes no effort at all.

wow.... I cant even eat big meals anymore. I`m so used to eating small amounts every 2-3 hours that I get full if I try to eat a big meal.

I wasn't really referring to hag but more on the general food industry in the us. If someone wants to eat unhealthy, then that's their right. But when dumb parents allow kids that don't know any better to eat that kind of shit, I think it's wrong.

When i'm on the road, I sometimes get coffee at McDonalds. What I see sometimes should be illegal, I see parents feeding their infant fries and chicken nuggets. Those kind of parents should not be allowed to have kids.

I know what you mean. it pisses me off when I see parents feeding young children that garbage especially the very young ones that aren't even in school yet. there's just no reason for a 3 year old child to even know what a doughnut is? or soda, etc...
