"This evening around 6:30pm Anthony passed away from a heart attack. His Memorial will be set up soon in Clear Lake, Tx, on Tuesday or Wednesday. I bet Anthony is putting up some BIG WEIGHT in HEAVEN. God bless you Anthony and your family too."

For those who dont know, he was a powerlifter credited with an 820 pound reverse grip bench press. He believed that reverse grip benching was his calling, after injuries.

He was also the first teen to bench 600. R.I.P.

yes I heard... he is friends with the owner of the gym that I work out at and came in every once in a while. From the few times that I have had a conversation with him he came off as a very nice guy. May he rest in peace. Him, and his family will definatly be in my prayers.

:angel1:

How old was he?

I heard he was 38 but I dont have the 30 seconds to look through Google.

This was such a shocker!!! Fade and I knew him through his brother Larry and from the gym. He always had a smile and was willing to help anyone!!!

What makes it really tough for his family is that they lost their mother just over a year or so ago.

God Bless them both!

Is it me or is it just a coincidence that almost every month a BB dies at a young age.

I think it's just you.
People of all ages die every single day. Some just happen to be BB's.

R.I.P. bro.

I'm surprised I had never heard of this fellow. Sounds like, in addition to his amazing accomplishments in the world of powerlifting, he was an upstanding man. Rest in peace.

R.I.P. Anthony... You will forever be remembered and continue to motivate many.
