Mass and Weight question: How do linebackers and tightends stay quite big and muscular while still working out almost daily during the season?

Drills and techniques question: Besides up and downs, what other drills can someone practice for tightend and linebacker (weakside) positions? What about cornerback?

I ask because I might join up a local small, private flag football league team. It's a different league with different rules - you still have to grab the flag for the down but everything else is full contact except no shoulder charging and pushing from behind. It's also 9 players instead of 5.

They eat a shitload of food.

There are countless drills you can do. I would recommend getting a book called High Performance Sports Conditioning. There are loads of various agility, technique, and speed drills in that book, and it's pretty cheap. There are sections specifically for various sports, and some more general drills too.

Ya I have to eat my butt off just to keep the weight, and I really found it easier last year taking a cortisol blocker before each practice. I take a shake after practice just like a workout as well.

The whole idea of weight training during inseason is maintaining, keep the cals high. As for supplements I wouldn't have anything but protein and a multivit. maybe some taurine for cramps.
