I'd really like some opinons on this. This is for people who have digestive issues of bloating, gas, and indigestion. I'd imagine this would be an issue with most bodybuilders because of the large amounts of foods that are consumed during the course of each day. I was reading Don Lemmons program dealing with separating protein from carbs because both both foods would not be completely digested. Something about the Alkaline and Acid neutralizing each other and causing little digestion of either carbs or protein.
Any ideas about this? Would it make sense to separate carb meals from protein meals?

Thanks guys for the links. I did find that information helpful.

But my question I guess that I didn't make clear was regarding digestion and not really fat loss. A question of with food combinations of protein and complex carbs, which are "supposedly the worst for digestion" whether either the protein or the complex carb sits in the digestive system and ferments while the other is being digested full or partially depending on which is eaten first. And does either become fully absorbed?

once again - t'is bollux.

There is no evidence to suggest that you need to seperate protein and carbs in order for them to 'digest' properly. You have to remember that your body has developed a HIGHLY efficient mechanism for absorbing energy... It is programmed to 'out-survive' famine and has the capacity to digest/absorb far more than you would need to survive.

So the answer is that regardless of if you eat both at the same time, or one and then the other - with the exception of doing something wacky (eg: adding a butt-load of sugar-alcohols) both will be digested. :)
