Any way to find out how much muscle i already got?

I know I experience that today..my legs kinda looked bigger too me, so i asked my friend if they did and he said ya...they do kinda, more muscular. Although I know this is want I want, it kinda got me down
 
You asked your friend if your legs looks bigger? Tom! You're a guy...that's like asking one of your buddies, "Do I loook fat in this?", "Is pink my colour"...there's a certain boundary you don't cross...

lol and if he can notice a difference, there's a problem if he had been looking at your legs before. Might want to stay away from this guy... :) Be afraid. Be very afraid.
 
Here's my story Tom...Throughout all winter i was 135 lbs, i wasn't very happy with my weight, i wanted to gain muscle mass and look bigger. So finalyl @ the beggining of the summer i decided to eat a lot more and work out. I worked out 2 months and ate healthy. 2days ago my scale read 160 lbs (which was my goal, when i started i was 138 lbs). Basically just eat anything in the fridge. Make 3 SOLID meals a day and eat lotta lotta eggs (don't fry them with a lot of oil or they get greasy and nasty)..You'll find it VERY easy to gain weight once you're going you'll be looking in the mirror happy with achievements.. Anyway, @ 160 lbs, i was pretty happy i look in the mirror i have fat on my bottom of my tummy covering my 2 bottom abs...I get mad and i go on a 2days low carb approx 1000-1400 calories per day..After falling down to 151 lbs (losing water or so Jodi claims) I decided that I'm not yet fully bulked...So I'm goin for 180 lbs now...Then once i cut, all the water+fat that i use up will bring me down to 165 lbs with lean body..

Well what I'm gonna do is gain 20 pounds of muscle then cut and lose 10 pounds. Then depending on what I look like I might repaeat that again, right now I'm weighing myself and taking measurments every week, that way I know if my bodyfat rises too much.
 
Why don't you gain 30, cuz that would put you in a normal range for a guy. Then, put up some pictures so WE can tell you whether you need to cut or not. you're not a very good judge of what you look like, and I don't think you would be the ideal person to decide whether you should cut or not. You don't HAVE to cut....
 
He'll be 152 lbs ish @ 5'11 or someting i think...That'll make him normal yes..
A HUGE mistake would be to cut @ 152 lbs...After the first week you'll lose 15lbs of water ull fall down to like 125 lbs again..trust me go for 180 don't bothre with the fat on u r stomach.. if u work out nicely it'll go away :thumb:

lol I already had the water experience I know when I'm retaining water and when I'm not, right now I'm not retaining any, or very little. Either way I think I'm gonna cut (i'll still get pics up after my bulk though) just so I can have a more lean look, and I don't believe in "normal ranges" those charts take nothing into consideration, bodyfat%, LBM, activity level....there a bunch of crap I'm sure according to those tons of people are obese, but yet you can't pinch a bit of fat off their bodies

You're entirely too thin to cut, even with twenty more pounds. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have a little beef on me than look skinny! You won't look lean, you'll look skinny!
 
well like I said it all depends on how I look after I bulk, I'll defiently cut, but after that I MIGHT bulk again for another 20 then cut for another 10
 
BTW, I'm 166 5'2 1/2 for whoever wanted to know, and thats with a six pack visible so mostly LBM.
 
How can you predetermine the fact that you're going to cut!? I don't get it! That's like saying, "I'm on 5 packs a day of cigarettes. I am going to quit cold turkey, then go back to two a day..." There's no logic. You don't know what frame of mind you're goign to be in (ie. how you feel about yourself, your body), and how you will look. Don't decide right now what you're going to do later. And gaining 30 is a better number. When we say "normal", we're not talking about stupid statistics and charts on a screen, we're talking about what the average person on the street who is HEALTHY (key word) looks like. You are not (yet) the average healthy person on the street,
 
well right now I feel so bloated and fat, that the only reason I'm still bulking is so I can cut later on, who knows maybe I'll have a better state of mind later on, but right now the only thing that getting me through is knowing I get to cut in about 5 months.
I also weighed myslef today and I'm the same as last week 122, after I gained 3 pounds from last weight. So I'm guessing that maybe I got rid of 2 pounds of water weight this week and maybe gained a pound of fat/muscle, so next week I'll start gaining 1-2 punds a week right?
 
haha, I said 5'2 1/2 :) I meant 6'2 1/2, sorry about that.

Yea 1-2 pounds is what you will gain eating like that for a while until your muscles peak out of newbie training stage and you get to a healthy weight. Then it's all fun from there! Not. ;)
 
lol I figured you had to be taller, you looked alot bigger from your pics. I'll just be happy once this bulk is over, I can't stand it it's so hard trying to get all the calories in.
 
You should be enjoying it! Everyone on all the posts says bulking is so fun because it gives them a chance to induldge, and go crazy (for the most part). Take your Auntie Jaime for example (that's me). I use my extremely low weight as an excuse to eat the the shit that I denied myself before. It's an amazing feeling of letting go....
 
If you get through your head that this is something you need to do, and you have given yourself permission to do (eating disorders are all about giving yourself permission, or doing something to "deserve" to the food), then everything will go down a lot easier.

lol ya I know bulking should be fun, I know people use it as an excuse to indulge here and ther, but the reason why I don't like it is because I feel so bloated and full all the time that it makes me sick, I think I'm getting use to it though :D

And yup you do look bigger sportinstyle, keep up the good work :thumb:
