Anyone else addicted to running?

nope

I love running.

I more or less hate it, I'd much rather be lifting(yes I know they're completely different)... Running can be alright for the first half mile or so, but if I do 2-3 miles I'm beat by the end and just feel like sleeping... I also like sprinting way more than jogging though. Sometimes when I do cardio I'll sprint a couple laps, then jog, then sprint a couple laps etc for a mile or so. I have a good build for running, but I don't like it.

No friggin way. :D

I run on the treadmill and I hate each damn step more than the last.

Actually, I do play deck hockey, which is basically organized street hockey in running shoes. I LOVE that. :)

I don't mind sprints.

I hate distance.

I run about 20-25 miles a week...so that would probably be a yes. Although I must admit I like biking a lot more.

Yea I really like HIIT, as opposed to same paced running. I pretty much hate them both though when I really think about it.

On a side note I read that Ponyboy likes to bike. Today at the gym I was doing some "active recovery" for my legs and decided to get on a stationary bike. After a while say 5 minutes on maximum difficulty my legs were really burning. Does this cause my legs to gain a more sprinter type build or long distance runner type build?

Sorry to change the subject, you can blame it on Ponyboy for talking about biking.

i hate running, its ok for like 1/2 mile, than i get pissed im running and stop

i'm becoming addicted to HIIT but as far as running outdoors and on the track
i hate it allot.

I hate running with other people. For example, in gym class we have to run 1/2 mile on a track, with about 80 other people. For some reason that just really annoys me to run with so many other people on a stupid track outside extremely early when you've only had five hours of sleep for a gym class you hate. Ahem... I don't hate jogging by myself in my basement on a treadmill though; it's a different way for me to push myself. I also walk about a mile or two each day if I have time, and I enjoy that a lot.

Yesterday I ran 1.5 miles... it was pretty much my first time running distance, I usually do HIIT on cardio machines. It was painful and I was out of breath like crazy, but I plan on working on it and seeing if I can increase my distance.

My personal best run was 3 miles in 27 minutes... Afterwards I could hardly walk and pretty much couldn't control my bladder...lol not to mention I was sweating like a pig.

That would be sprinter build because you're effectively sprinting - even though you're doing it for 5 minutes. If you're trying to actively recover your legs however, that isn't going to do it. Slow and steady flush would be the ticket.

BTW, there are lots of long distance runners who are ripped and have good muscle mass. The ones who look anorexic usually have looked that way since they were younger because they have never seriously strength trained.

Running outside in the summer and spring is awesome...Everything is just so beautiful and inspiring, I cant get enough of it...
