Well let's see, My mom always said I was shallow bringing home the drop dead good looking blonds with blue eyes but couldn't tell you who the current president was. My sisters all said I was shallow basically for the same reason as above. All my friends felt the same way. My wife actually even said I was shallow and she is pretty and intelligent. Looking at all these facts I suppose I must agree that I'm AS SHALLOW AS THEY COME!!!! I told my wife if she gets fat I'm divorcing her faster then she can eat a bowl of ice cream. That alone says I'm shallow. No fat intelligent wives for me,, no sir.

Ok I have dated, slept with, whatever you want to call it, the hot, drop dead gorgeous guys and they are dumb as bricks also, and most of them spend more time concerned about their looks and themselves then they are about me and more then I do, and that annoys the crap out of me. If I wanted to date a girl I would be a lesbian, but I don't. I want a guy who is concerned with his health and fitness level and how he looks, plus if I don't have pick out his clothes for him, I am in love LOL. When I met Darren he wasn't the drop dead gorgeous guy but I had fallen in love with his personality and intellect, and over the last five months, he has dropped about 5% BF and OMG, he has a pack on him, it wasn't there before, so i think you may fall for someone before they are the hot type, but I think when you are happy you want to be the best you can be for the other person, scre this get married and get sloppy crap like most women do, I always want to look my best for myself and to impress my love.

SS I totally agree with you!! Do you know people actually had bets on me to see how long it would take me to get fat & outta shape.. they all LOST! I told them I love my body too much and I only want to improve it for Matt & For me.. Just because I'm married doesn't mean I'm going to gain weight & Stop working out! Nope no way!!! I can't stand shallow women.....I have been dissed by more girls at bars, dance clubs, night clubs etc....this can be really deisheartening to a shy guy like myself. Usually I get pissed off because the girl has no idea who I am, she doesn't even know me or give me a chance. She just passes judgement on me.

Because of this I give everyone a shot. I don't care what the girl looks like. If I am in a club and a girl walks up to talk to me, no matter what my freinds say about how she looks etc., I give her a shot...I mean hey, she actually came up and talked to me so why should I diss her? I try and be fair to everyone, I can't stand people that are only attracted to physical appearance or money.

My wife feels exactly the same way you gals to. Personality is far more important to her. She wouldn't care if I were 250 lbs as long as I had a good fun loving personality. Believe me I've seen some of her ex'es and they were nothing to look at but according to her very nice boys. (notice i said boys).

Oh lastly,,, YOU WOMEN ARE WIERD!!! I want it all in a person. Why not??? You only live once and your entitled to spend your life with someone that is as pleasing to the eye as they are to your soul. For the Record,, my wife has gained weight since having 2 kids and a thyroid condition but I still love her and I'm stilled married. True she isn't 200 lbs but she is still overweight by a good 20 lbs I'd say. I'm being totally honest when I say I really WISH I could get her to excercise and loose some weight because I'm not turned on to her as I used to be when she was in shape. My youngest boy is 6 so it's not like she hasn't had the time to loose it. Her thyroid condition is controlled by meds so that isn't an excuse anymore either. Oh screw this,, anyone know a good divorce lawer??? hahahaha

P-funk I use to be very much like you when I was single. There were two heavy school teachers in my apartment. They both liked me and I would always talk to them and visit because I knew they did not get out much and were pretty depressed about the situation. One was like 250 and the guys use to really give her hell just walking around the complex - you know cow calls and the like. Well she was about in tears one Friday night and wanted to get out in the worst way and was confiding all this stuff about how hard it was for her to get a date. So invited her out and we went to the French Quarter in New Orleans (right cross the bridge from our apartment complex). She had a great time even though she got some more insults from people walking by drunk in the streets etc. But I think I might have helped give her some dignity and helped her to have faith in herself.

From personal experience it is much better to meet someone outside of the "bar scene" since it is insanely competitive in those situations and a lot of people (both sexes) who frequent those places have extreme personality disorders and are under the influence to make it worse. I have actually watched girls bait guys into fights over them to make themselves feel special. I recall one poor guy that didn't even know what hit him and didn't even know the woman that got him knocked out. For kicks she told her date that he insulted her and they guy walks and cold cocked the other guy at the bar knocking him out. She laughed and they went home arm in arm as damsel in distress and protecting knight. Bars can be pretty pathetic.

Hang in there - the cream floats to the surface eventually and the bar flies find the dung piles.
