I was wondering whether or not to try Atkins again. I have stagnated at dropping bodyfat and was wondering on your opinions.

I know it depletes the muscles as well but by how much? If the fat can melt off faster, I am willing to do it again.

Also, does drinking tea or coffee hinder fatloss? 2-3 cups per day?

DP once told me to "think lifestyle, not induction"......and I actually listened.
As for the muscle depletion aspect, it is my understanding that ketones are protein sparing....i.e., I don't think there is a substantial amount of muscle loss w/ Atkins/SKD's.

Y'all correct me if I'm wrong.

Ketones are only protein sparing at about 15% and above - possibly a bit lower depending on your bodytype.

If you drop your carbs right down, expect to drop calories a bit further also, since your RMR will be lower due to lower bodyweight.

And incorporate periodical refeeds/carb-loads regularly if you opt for that.

By 15% and above do your refer to the rate at which the ketones are produced?

Something like that.

I have no clue what you are talking about :tard: ....15% carbs or 15% muscle loss?

I wanted to know how much muscle loss would occur on induction - I know you lose up to 10 pounds of water weight, but not muscle loss....

I know lifestyle change is best, but I was just wondering the option to do it. Knock off the last pounds without sacrificing muscle.

Any anyway, DP gave me a new tweak so I am not looking to change anything right atm. I was on Atkins before and I just turned into a "smaller" verison of the "out of shape me" doing mega-HIIT cardio, looked bad (flabby skinny).

Just curious about the muscle loss %
