Just wondering, when performing typical Chest workouts like Bench Press, Crossovers, Flys, etc, will they be also targeting on our Lats? If so, will it be fine to train them on consecutive days? (Back on Monday and Chest on Tuesday or vice versa)
 
I would actually train them on the same day. And would do a chest movement then a back movement , then back to chest. ect. You will be surprised in the strenght and growth from this type of workout!
 
It's fine to do them on different days back to back or the same day. Your lats won't get too envolved if you have perfect form and you focus on the chest when doing chest movements.

Yes, but I prefer to put at least one rest day between them.
 
There's no problem doing them on moncay and tuesday, or doing them both on the same day like Taz said.

Try both and see what works for you, i find that if I can't make it into the gym, then doing both on the same day works best or if going to the gym isn't a problem then split them up.
 
Yeah, but have you ever worked your chest when your back is really sore from the previous day? :eek:
Bench presses really hurt!

Or, worked your back when your chest is really sore?
Rows are very uncomfortable!
 
I guess personally, my chest and back recover quickly (with the exception of my lower back from deads).
I've never had a problem doing back after doing chest the day before.

You gotta give it a try I guess to find out where you fit.

Personaly, I like to put atleast one day between upper body work outs if not two. If I am going to have to work out two days in a row I do upper one day then lower the next.
Nothing wrong with doing them together as Taz said though.
