I saw a thread in which someone mentioned they have two back days, one for width? and one for depth? ...I was not previously aware of the possibility of lifting back for one or the other.

Is this true/possible?

which lifts are for width? depth?

Check out the DC training routine. There is one exercise for thickness and one for width.

I never really liked those kinds of workouts. Just do work on your traps, rhomboids, and lats. Width and thickness will come naturally. It's over complicating things to try and somehow focus on each one separately.

I train my lower on 1 day dead lifts, hyper extensions, etc.. then train a upper day with width exercises..Just started doing this a year ago and my back has grown big time from the split

great advice....i might try that out, its sounds like a great idea to split them up one day for thickness and one day for width. I have always started with lat pulldowns to cable rows to dumbell row to lat pull downs with a slight variation of exercises 4 sets each. Hitting for width and thickness.
