Ok I belive this has to do with my POS bed i been sleeping on for years. I have a bed with like a 20 year old matress and when I wake up most morning my lower back has pinching pains. It seems when I workout doing compound movements especally with squats and deadlifts, spacifically, I get the same pinching in my lower back. Today was my heavy leg day so while doing squats and SLDL I know I can do way more and have the energy for it but my lower back pinching causes me to stop or drop the weights abotu halfway through my 3rd or 4th set. It gets really annoying. I would love to go out and get another bed, but cant do that about to graduate college and move.. and I am in college so money is a issue. Anyone else have any ideas what I am tlakign about and possible solutions. I also do 2 warmup sets at relativly low weights and I feel the pinch also, but some woprkouts it goes away and some they dont. I was thinking it could be that or I might need to stretch and wormup better.
Thx

mpotok....there are lots of reasons why your back is pinching when you are training...like weak core stabilisers, incorrect posture, bad exercise technique, too much load(weight lifted)order of exercise selection, inadequate warm-up .. and so on and so on...blah blah blah..if I were you, firstly I'd stop at the point of pain my friend and get some advice on your training program or some treatment on your lower back..cheers..xx

Oh yeh....sleep on the floor!!!!

ya I got a really strong lower back. I always rember and try to work on posture as much as possible. This bed is such a killer on me. I cant wait till i get my fire professional job going all out on a big comfy bed... lol. Sick of POS ones for years. Ya When I got back into lifting in febuary after takeing tiem off.. my core was really off I could tell. I think I am goign to try a daily stretching and warmup routine and see how much that helps me. Just need to do some reseach or find some info on this. It is such a pain sometimes it soo impedes my progress.

I think you are wise to look into the bed, they sag with age and that puts a strain on the back sleeping in an incorrect position.
