Several years ago while in Miami, I had a personal training session with a fellow who introduced me to kettlebells. Love 'em, but I've had to be careful to not aggravate an old back injury. Otherwise, they provide a superb workout.
Funny thing- he also had these bats- looked alot like your average everyday baseball bat, but they were made of a markedly dense metal- perhaps lead. You could swing them around as a core exercise. I have found that substitutes like wedges/axes just ain't the same, not to mention posing a safety risk in the gym!
Can anyone help me find out what these bats are called, who manufactures them, where I can buy one, etc.? Any help will be appreciated. DrKrav

You're thinking of Indian strength-training clubs, or jori, AKA clubbells. They're awesome!
