Been sick for two weeks...no working out...yet bigger?

Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me. But I have been working out for about 3 months straight since my last one week break. I was on creatine for a while and made some gains, but mostly have been on plateau for most of my exercises. Anyways I got sick a couple of weeks ago and haven't touched the weights, and haven't eaten as much in response (no creatine intake either). Yet, I seem to be bigger than I have ever been before.

I have been on a one-body-part-a-week workout for about a year and made great gains. But I am wondering how often you guys take a break from working out, and how long the break is? Is it really beneficial in terms of gaining size? How are your strength gains over the break?
 
I unload every 5-6 weeks. It makes a big difference in terms of recovery. I would be dying if I were to hit the gym like I have been without taking a week off or doing active recovery pretty often.

Do you mean because of the dashes or the fact I work out one body part a week?

What I mean by one-body-part-week is I don't train the same muscle more than once a week. But I do everything during the week. One day Bi/Back, one day Chest/tri, leg day, shoulder day, with a day of rest in between each workout.
