Today I resumed my bench program after being gone since last thursday on vacation. I'm doing the Shawn Phillips bench press routine http://www.musclemedia.com/training/bench/benchintro.asp I did workout number five on the monday before my trip, and passed the failure test. At the beach I only did a chest workout once, this monday, when I did a repeat of the fourth workout on a universal bench press machine. I also did some overhead presses on a Universal machine, and messed around with some other equipment. My shoulders have been sore when i shrugged them since (or at least something's hurting when I shrug em can't tell what, maybe back muscle? dunno). I tried doing the 6th workout today, and I couldn't even finish the first set. I got off 2 reps then another about a minute later. I stopped then because I wasn't sure why the hell I couldn't do it (I'd not been able to finish some of the last sets on other workout but I've always gotten the first set pretty easy). Does anyone know a reason for this?
