Benchpress/squat

Is there anyone else out there who's bench press max weight for 1 rep is the same as max weight for 1 rep squat or am i the only person???? By the way i have very weak legs.:(
 
Nope, not for me. My max squat is much heavier than my bench. How much is your max bench and squat?
 
there are tons of people like that. work on your lower body strength.
 
My bench is stronger than my squat by 100Lbs
Even back when I trained legs hard my raw squat was never more than 75lbs highere than my raw bench

All raw lifts.....except a belt for the squat..
I never really did much deadlifting....at 16 or 17 I could do 385 for sets of 5 reps but I stopped doing them back then because it felt like I was getting a hernia.....I must have shit genetics or had really bad form.

At 18 My seinor year I could raw bench 365x1, squat 385x6,6,5,3 at 210Lbs body weight.....
 
They used to be about the same until I got serious about training my legs. You aren't the only one. Don't fret, your strength will balloon up in no time.
 
Yeah my bench press is much better than my squat. Hell my legs and way under developed than the rest of my body. Thats why i pay more attention to my legs now.
 
my squat beats my bench by like 60-100lbs
 
ok im way the other way my squat is like 180 lbs stronger than my bench

I bench 315, but I squat 500.
 
I'm weak from cutting, but my squat was only like 40-50 LB's more than my max bench.
 
Thanks for replies, my bench and squat max are both 250lbs iam very slim but i really need to build on my legs
 
My bench and full squat are within 5-10 pounds of each other at 315-320ish with the bench being more than my squat currently.
 
nothing to worry about. we all pretty much had this problem at one time or another. whenever people start lifting, usually in there teens, they never squat and will always bench.

i was the same way, and because i worked on my bench alot and never worked on my squat, my bench was just as strong as my squat if not stronger.
 
My squat and deadlift were always above my bench, and probably always will be. My deadlift is probably more than 200 pounds over and as for my squat... it depends on which way I do it.
 
I have always had lower back problems since i was 18 iam now nearly 38. I must admit that i have stayed away from squatting/deadlifting because of my back but now that it is sorted i can slowly up the weight.
