Ok I know this topic has been covered ad nauseum. But I wanted an up to date and specific type of response.
In my recent quest to try to "attract more flies with sugar rather than vinegar" ....I realized that I generally just shit on all certs. But hell I haven't taken all certs...but I just use the stuff that I see being done and said by so many trainers of various certs, and even degree holding individuals, that I just gauge it that way... That's kinda unfair...but I don't have much else to go on.
So when I get that all too familiar question about certification, I'd like to be able to answer it differently. So it made me think. What cert do you think fits more of what "we" folks (yes that sounds a little elitist, but sue me) would find attractive. Something that is anatomy heavy perhaps is more of my thing and more of what I think is needed. I mean what the hell else is there? Hell, nutrition wise, it doesn't matter. Eat real food and get good macros in. The stuff I see daily or watch videos on...so many people are missing what I consider to be the real marks of exercises. I don't need to revamp that...but you know what I mean.
So I'd like folks to chime in. I was ACE certified a long time ago. Felt easy to me, and that was a long time ago...I'm 36. I think the "upper echelon" of folks regard ace as a joke...and I've generally thought of it that way and still do.
I know Louie Simmons is offering one I think now? But to me that strikes me as more specific. I mean I would love to have it, but what 30 year old 50lb overweight lady is going to be interested in conjugate methods for strength...even if it does work, which it obviously does.
So what do you all think or know or have heard?
