hi

i train at 5:30pm and then eat my dinner alomst immediately after i have finished (around 6:15).

is it ok to do this? or should i train in the morning or late evening (after i have eaten)??

also, are carbohydrates that are eaten after a workout burned off from the days activity or will they only be burned off when i next exercise?

thanks

5.30 is fine, really any time of the day is ok as long as your doing it.
As far as the carbohydrates go, it depends on your whole days diet, if you've been starving yourself all day and then have a bunch of carbs, your body will probably store them if it thinks you won't be eating for some time.
You should be eating a meal high in protein directly after your workouts to see the best results.

You should be eating throughout the day, so it does not matter if you work-out at 5:30 or later. If you would rather train in the morning go ahead. No matter what time you train you should have eaten at least one meal before training IMO.

The carbs you eat post work-out will be used to replenish glycogen stores in your muscles and liver. It's doubtful that any will get stored as fat, that's why it's okay (and preferred) to eat simple carbs post-work-out, along with a high BV protein such as whey.

What if you've exceeded your Daly calorie intake, just because you've had a workout doesn't mean its gonna be ok to have that big plate of spaghetti without having any of it being converted to fat.

You shouldn't be rewarding yourself for working out with poor food choices, keep eating the right stuff IMO.

Your right, I was reading between the lines with this and his last post about chocolate.
Maybe I'm way off but it looks like someone is trying to reward themselves for working out.

nah im not trying to reward myself by eating badly! i know the rewards i will get will be in the summer when im on the beach!

thanks

I like the morning myself because I seem to have the most energy then, but as long as you've got the energy to focus and workout hard it doesn't matter when you workout.Carbs or calories are being continuously burned not just at workouts.
