Best way to sterilize water based gear?

Would the bake method be a problem for water based gear? Any risk of evaporating too much water? Will i need to add BAC to the vial after baking to replenish the lost water?

Also, since alcohol evaporates much faster than water, would the BA evap out and leave the gear potentially risky to use?

Bacteria?

What makes you believe you have bacteria in your Gear?

Although, if I even had the slightest suspicion my Gear was not sterile I would sterilize it too.

At any and all costs I want to avoid going to the ER, or my Doc, and have them be forced to drain a huge abscess, and then hope the infection would respond to antibiotics.

what im asking is can i just reheat it like one would do with oil based gear? say double boil method or oven for instance. im not convinced its unsterile, i just wanted to be on the safe side.

With the oil based gear, you put a pin in the gasket and stick it in the oven for 20 minutes at 250.

You'll lose some water, and I don't pretend to know how much, but it's better than infected gear.

at 250 degrees there'll probably be steam shotting out of the pin with water based, you'd probably lose quite a bit and the concentration would get too high to pin. Not 100% on that but I think if anything you'd have to add bac water or something to use it

add a SMALL amount of ba to the water-based product.... like 1 part to 99 parts... In other words add .1ml - .2ml ba to a full 10ml vial...

Dude your fine. You are being over causious, which I think is a great thing, but water in the vial should be distilled ( no minerals ) so no source of energy for bacteria to grow, BA also will kill bacteria.

I'd say you are fine.

I wouldn't heat the suspension. Most water based steroids do contain the highest amounts of bacteria. If you do not trust the brand or feel you have contaminated the vial I would not use it. It is your choice.
