I usually drink water with every meal, and every drink I have during the day. I was wondering if I should also drink milk or juice?

Ok - You should drink water. LOTS of water. Especially if you are really active. So keep drinking this.

Why do you think you need milk or juice? Although milk and juice can be ok around your workouts (as PART of your pre or post-workout meals), unless you are actually needing to increase your calorie intake (and you CAN'T stomach more 'solid food') then there really is no need just to add these in.

I don't mind only drinking water. I don't even notice it anymore. Reaching for my bottle or glass is just second nature.

I think everyone should drink milk, (non fat) food doesnt come any better then milk.

I myself really only drink water, milk (non fat skim), and booze. The last one is not good for you, but I believe the first two are good. Milk has a fair amount of protein in it.

However, I don't really know much about dieting, so I don't know if milk would be best left out of your diet or not. But I don't think juice is good. Typically too many carbs (sugars), unless you're talking about OJ.

if your tring to keep the calories down, milk (even nonfat) is out of the question, but if your bulking, then hey, have fun but dont go crazy and drink only milk

What about for teens? I've been cutting for 2.5 months and have had no milk what so ever (and have seen great results). Now, I figure most people would say that the pros of having milk when you're 17 outweigh the cons, but I figured it wouldn't hurt if I ditched it for 4 or even 5 months because I do take 2 calcium pills per day.

i drink water ALL day, even at work, but we have to get water out of the focet and i HATE tap water, i think it is sooooo nasty, so i take two lemons and squeeze it in my water and 2 or 3 packs of equal and i drink on average like 3 20 oz. cups of water at work!! gotta love it!

I would keep it in. Milk will not 'immediately cause you to not loose weight/fat'. Overall calorie balance is FAR, FAR more important. Also, as a teenager you are GROWING! And you WANT TO GROW!! Milk is one of the most anabolic substances you can get...

If you don't want the milk then least try to get A LOT of calcium from other sources as well (eg: cheese, edible fish bones, almonds etc). Two calcium pills is not an awful lot (especially if it is a poorly absorped form of calcium such as carbonate or phosphate) and this is the time you are laying down your bone mass for the rest of your life...
