Hi everyone, I am 5ft 10, but only at 142 pounds, skinny as hell. I'm eating alot but no matter what, my arms always look punny and like a wimp. Whenever I flex, my biceps just can't seem to pop out and it's soft, despite alot of hardwork. Is that because I'm too skinny which is why the bicep can't grow?

Anyone mind to give me a good bicep working to make it bigger?

What's your current bicep workout and how many times per week do you do it?

Right now I am doing 3 sets of 3 exercises in hammer, barbell and preacher curls. I normally do with reps. 10,10, 8, excluding wam up. Should I do something different?

Hi skin...well I found that droping down numb of reps..to 6 or 7 does good..
well I don t know if this helps u....
I do preacher s curl and dumbellcurl(alternating)....3-4 sets...
sometimes I add cable curl...21´ or sth like that....
my bi s get sore easy....unlike those tri s

I do these for arms:

4x8 standing barbell curl
4x8 preacher curl
4x8 hammer curl (sometimes I don't do)
4x8 cable pulldown
4x8 overhead tricep extension dumbbell
4x8 machine tricep extension (sometimes I don't do)
4x15 forearm flexors
4x15 forearm extensors

I drop some of these as I mention above since sometimes the previous kill my arms already. This has really made my arms get big especially since I added the flexors and extensors. My forearms grew 1 1/2" and my biceps 1" in about 5 months (forearms faster). I strongly believe that once you get your forearms stronger a whole lot of things regarding weightlifting will change for you (deadlifts, squat, etc go up..) I just feel that it helped a lot. Hope it helps you.

Lift well! But don't forget to put it down afterwards.

Whatever change you decide to make in your bicep routine, just remember you need to EAT plenty of protein. You'll never gain any muscle if you are not fueling them.

I agree!

Just because the majority believes it, does not make it true!

EAT!

Doing curls won't get you big, and staying small won't make your arms grow.

You guys do squats and deadlifts every week?

Me too! Deadlift only when squats get boring.

I find pull ups help a lot.

I've also been trying something new. Grab 2 dumbbells. One heavy (ie. You could get 1 to 3 reps with) and one lighter weight (ie. a 12-15 rep weight). Go to the Preacher bench. Start with the heavy weight. Do 5 short hammer curls with that dumbbell, drop the dumbbell, pick up the lighter weight and do 10 good full reps with that.

Then switch to the other arm.

I started doing this with barbells, but found I couldn't really go heavy with the first weight. With the dumbbells, I can spot myself with my other arm.

Give it a try. I know I was able to break through a plateau with this.

I deadlift every week but squat every second, I'll do leg press one week then squat the next. I also don't squat and dead on the same day and try to keep them at least 2 days apart.

BonesSkin, the reason I say Squat and Deadlift is because when was the last time you saw a 142lb man with 17+" arms? NEVER, you need to put some meat on your whole body before your arms will grow.

I love doing deadlifts and squats. When you are finished with some good, hard sets, you feel like you've just kicked some ass!
