I ran out of food money early last month and had to quit eating for 2 weeks. I know thats bad and I lost a lot of weight. Please don't harp on me for it. anyways, the problem is that now I have food- I can't eat it. I have no appetite. what can I do to increase/regain my appetite?

That is a big problem hun. Sorry to hear about your situation.

I would start taking really tiny meals of oats and whey protein, scrambled eggs, milk, even if you don't want to, every three to four hours.

Also for future, go and find a cheap bulk store and get BIG bags of rolled oats, brown rice, plain whey protein, lentils, beans, big natural peanut butter, nuts, some frozen veg, stuff that will keep, so if you run out of money you will still have food.

I have a bit of a financial crisis this month, but I don't have to worry about food (just all my social engagements) as I have enough dried, frozen and stuff I have made and frozen to last for about a month.

It also comes in handy when I am just too tired or too lazy to cook

You're an idiot. You ran out of food money? Okay well then do something about it. There are somethings that if you run out of money for them, you're SOL...go without it. But not food. Without food you die.

Clearly you have money to pay for the internet...why not cut that out so you can eat huh? There are a million other things to sacrifice far less important than food.

wow. I literally have nothing. I use the internet at a friends house. I don't think you understand how this works. when I ask a question, instead of bitching at me, how about you answer my fucking question. now that I have some food..... what do i need to do to be able to eat it? i have no appetite. if you cant answer that, then don't even bother posting. i don't give a fuck about your opinion of my lifestyle.

You can think I'm a prick, I really don't care. It's still retarded what you did. I mean honestly, a package of top ramen (which has a lot of calories) is literally 10 cents. You could live off of 30 cents a day for two weeks.

ramen has the nutritional value of salted cardboard....

usually i just stalk up bags of brown rice, and whole grain pasta is like 78 cents a box. Tuna and eggs are cheap also. I've been stuck in a financial situation too, and I had to cash in cans to get 10 bucks, but i was able to eat decent just buying these few things.

You're right. Ramen is complete shit. But would you rather eat garbage cals or starve?

damn man, sorry to hear about what you went through :[ but glad to hear youre getting back on your feet again. uhmm..banannas are pretty cheap and other fruits as far as i know. some dont exactly last a long time but yea. hope you can stop shit like that from happening again.

el hefe made some good suggestions tho, with the brown rice, pasta, tuna, and eggs.

No money to eat.. Ive been there ..aint fun. I just relied heavily on lentils and dried milk for my carbs and protein. Mixing lentils and oats is a good source of protein too and lentils have all the vitamins u pretty much need. And it also helps out with the budget if u change ur macros to 50/20/30 for carbs/protein/fat.
