If you pay taxes and don't take welfare how are you part of the 47% he was referring to?

if you claim any sort of deduction on your taxes, mortgage interest, EITC, capital loss, etc. you are getting a government handout..and a handout is a handout.

and your community is getting federal money. just because you aren't getting a check in the mail or food stamps doesn't mean you are not getting anything from the government. you are getting plenty and you don't even know. public eduction in every single red state is supported 100% by the blue states because the wages are so low in them as are taxes they can't afford it.

Last time I checked, Domino's, Staples, Burlington, toys r us, etc. are still in business.

Retard.

Damn you're stupid.

the really sad thing is these retards don't know the difference between a true free market system and monopoly capitalism. and they talk of socialism, the US financial sector wouldn't last a day in any other country. starting in the 80's the US money supply was increased far above the growth of the US population to intentionally lower the purchasing power of USD so the people have to go into debt. I swear to god this whole country is stuck on stupid. and the biggest idiots are the ones that get their economic information from politicians and tv...

people think that the US financial sector and US large firms are so big and profitable because they are the best, wrong.... they are that way because the government supplied the legislation to transfer the wealth from the workers to capital.

no, i'm simply saying that the majority of the US population at almost 70% receives some sort of handout from the government whether they know it or not, or apply for it or not.

one party does it in the open while the other does it through back channels while calling the others socialists. it's both the epitome of hypocrisy and pathetic because so many actually believe it. a sad narrative of just how little so many in the US know about economic policy and US history.

And you think Obama isn't part of the 1%? He is, he just has the look of the 99% and uses that to manipulate you like japetto does pinocchio.

And Romney's record at Bain was not friendly to workers, I agree. But niether has Obamas presidency been good for workers, and at least Romney wins for his investors while Obama continually pours our money into losing situations to better his people and friends that work at and owned (and cashed out of) all those now bankrupt companies.

I'm not necessarily pro Romney either, I don't know who I will vote for at this point, but it not be Obama, he had his chance.

Yay he has cashed in on American gluttony, with fast food rest., Clear Channel is Neo-Con propaganda, sports authority is fucking expensive and Guitar Center is a rip-off.....

At least the companies Obama invested in were trying to better our nations energy and help us wean from fossil fuel addiction.....

i don't think Romney kept Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, or Dominoes in business... our obese welfare population did.

Solyndra's loan approval process began under the George W. Bush administration. However, emails show that two weeks before Barack Obama became president, the Energy Department panel considering the loan unanimously decided not to proceed. In March 2009, after Obama had become president, one White House budget analyst wrote an email stating that "This deal is NOT ready for prime time."[19] However, Solyndra was the first company approved for a loan guarantee under the Obama administration.[20] On March 20, 2009 the United States Department of Energy made a "conditional commitment" to a $535 million loan guarantee to support Solyndra's construction of a commercial-scale manufacturing plant for its proprietary solar photovoltaic panels.[21] The White House scheduled a press event for September 4 and federal reviewers gave final approval on September 2.[22] After securing the loan guarantee, the Federal Financing Bank, a part of the Department of the Treasury, loaned Solyndra $527 million.[23]

Solyndra also received a $25.1 million tax break from California's Alternative Energy and Advanced Transportation Financing Authority.

On September 29, 2011, a Treasury Department official confirmed that the criminal probe of Solyndra is focused on whether the company and its officers misrepresented the firm's finances to the government in seeking the loan or engaged in accounting fraud. [SUP]

On October 7, 2011, newly revealed emails showed that the Obama administration had concerns about the legality of the Energy Department's loan restructuring plan and warned OMB director Jeffrey D. Zients that the plan should be cleared with the Justice Department first, which the Energy Department had not done. The emails also revealed that as early as August 2009, an aide to then-White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel had asked an Energy Department official if he could discuss any concerns among the investment community about Solyndra but that the official dismissed the idea that Solyndra had financial problems.

China also dumped about 2B US dollars of subsidy into it's solar manufactures which put dozens of out business in many country's. the market share was there when the negotiations for those loans where being made.

but of course many people don't want to look at ALL the facts....
