Bleeding from pining site.

Hey I've been pining myself in the glutes and getting some serious bleeding, is this normal?

not usually, you bleed every time?


I'd move spots a little, or switch to a diff. muscle entirely. Maybe you just have alot of veins there. Also make sure you put some pressure on the spot afterwards with the alcohol swab, that should help?

But seriously, you are probably moving it around too much. What size pin are you using?

21g? What are you taking core samples of your shoulder? Use a 23 or 25g.

definitely use a smaller pin IMO, not sure if that's what's causing the bleeding but I'm sure it doesn't help! I'd try switching to quads and see if you get the same thing?

I usaully use a 23 G 1 1/2 and switched to the same length at 22G and now I do bleed a little ...but the goods go in quicker . I just press a cotton ball on the spot and that takes care of that ! You might want to go to a thinner pin if need be .

I use 23g and I do bleed occasionally. Sometimes more than others. No big deal, don't worry about it. If it starts affecting your breathing or coughing, then you might want to be concerned.

Fuck! no wonder your bleeding more than a stuck pig, your taking a chunk off yo ass out everytime you pin! I know a guy who used to use 20's switched to a 23 for the first time in his life on monday and loved it haha!.

but a little bleeding is normal but your doing damage both to your skin and muscles using a 20g!

Yeah I'm using 25 ga. and half the time there isn't even a drop of blood. I'm still loling at the "core samples" comment

I use 25g and sometimes get some blood. I just assume that I hit a vein on the way in. LOL. No blood when I aspirate though.
