How do you all measure bodyfat?

I want to do an accurate measurement of where I stand right now, including all hormone levels and body fat, etc.....

I had body fat measured in diffeent ways in the past.... calipers, pinch a few places, and some thing that was a hand held device that had two rods I had to hold on to, I guess it measured resistance (elecrical) and that would say what my bodyfat percentage was.... of course, this was 15 years ago...

some here say that they go on a cycle and gain 7 pounds muscle, lost 9 pounds of fat, those numbers are pretty accurate and strong and I can only presume you all have some method that can give you results that specific within 10%....

I have no clue where to have posted this, it didnt go under training or anything else, so posting it here.

If you can't find someone that has a bod pod then calipers would be a good choice...those hand held things suck

ok calipers it is, those are cheap enough for me to go and buy my own.... :) but I will look for one of those water things too in the event i want to do that once before and after cycles to chck final numbers.

thanks

Hello

Hello friends...

I am also finding the same.. I really want to know about the accurate measurement tool for body fat... Yes i tried the tank option but it didn't get the accurate result what i wanted. If anyone know about it... Please share with us.....

Pinch 3 different areas and take the average...it gets you close but isn't 100% butit is better then the hand held. The under water weigh is the best...I've never heard anyone say it wasn't how did you know it wasn't accurate sharon?

But honestly I don't care of my body fat %. More important for me how I look. I did my first body fat measurement 4 years ago when I started my pre contest program. It was 24% by caliper. Last month I did tank (after 7 months of off season) -16%. I will again before next competition (June 25).
