I use to find it to be the opposite. When I went tanning a while ago...yes this thread is very old...I would get bumbs from tanning if I was exposed to it but I have very fair skin. Shaving would irritate but in the begining of my tanning experience, maybe the first month or so I would get bumbs on my quads and chest. Also anytime I went to long I would get em.leykis1o1 said:what ive found personally that works and my girlfriend for shaving bumps AKA "Follculitis" is that if you go tanning in a strong bed it kills the bacteria and helps eliminate the bumps and skin irritation for about a week..ive heard dermatologits use Strong UV light to do the same..but its probably cheaper to just go to a tanning booth!! plus you get tan..ever notice you usually get most of your bumps in places that dont usually get allot of sunlight? your face gets lots of sunlight but you dont get bumps there!!! it also has to do with Vitamin E production..sunlight helps your skin produce Vitamin E which helps fight off bacteria that live near your hair folicules
