I can't find this info. on web searching.

Is brewing Green Tea hot, and then letting it cool, more beneficial (nutritionally) than just dipping the tea bag in cold water?

Thanks.

I've always brewed it hot and then chilled it to drink later. Never thought anything of it. Let's see if someone chimes in with a little more info.

I always brew it in my coffee maker and pour it over ice. I don't think it makes a difference, but also don't know that for sure. I do know it makes 2 quarts in one shot, as opposed to having to do it one serve at a time.

The release of the flavours (and probably the anti-oxidants etc) is faster/better into hot water - so you would probably be better off brewing it correctly and then letting it cool..
