Building Strength for Chinups

Neutral.. So, I understand the overhand and underhand, but wtf is a neutral grip?
 
Lol, I am, but asking you guys is that much more fun, and social :p

Makes sense, I hadn't thought of the proper chinup bars, so I understand the neutral grip now.

Ps. Sometimes YouTube scares me, never know what you will find if you type in something wrong. I google more than I YouTube for sure.
 
Do five sets of five of these twice a week.

With all due respect :sorry: could this possibly lead to over training or injury doing this twice a week for some people? Heavy negative movements cause heavier than normal muscle fiber tear don't they? And then there's the longer recovery time needed for connective tissue strengthening than what muscle repair requires.
 
They'll be self-assisting with their toes, and standing to "up". Unless you're massively obese, you'll be fine.

Put it this way: that's how I did it, and I was forty, female, and unassisted. And I was just fine.
