Ok here's the deal. I've been on a bulking phase for about 6 weeks now. In the first 4 weeks I went from 175 to 190. In the last 2 weeks I haven't gained anything. Still at 190. I'm already eating so much I feel like puking. I'm only working out 3 days a week (sunday, tuesday, and thursday) with no cardio. So what gives, why can't I get over the 190 mark?

Adding 15 lbs in 4 weeks sounds like alot. Seems like you reached your max at your current caloric intake. If you're eating all you can and not gaining any weight, I'd go to a cutting routine and then start another bulking stage.

but i've only been bulking for 6 weeks. That seems a bit quick to me to stop bulking and start cutting again. Just to give you a little background on me, I weighed 205lbs before I started lifting weights around 8 months ago. I dropped from 205 to 175. As soon as I started bulking 6 weeks ago I shot up 15lbs like it was nothing but I just can't seem to get over the 190 mark. By the way, I'm making gains as far as lifting goes.

Maybe I should layoff Mule's wife for a while.

I'm by no means an expert on this, but when I do bulk, I try to keep my weight gains to around 2 lbs a week. This to assure I'm not putting on excess fat. If you want to continue on the bulk phase it seems you just have to add more calories. I thought you said you were not doing any cardio. What this with Mule's wife. Give her a break, you'll probobly add 5 lbs.

Try cutting your calories for a few days then increase them again to your current caloric intake. I think your body has just become accustom to the extreme amount of calories and has adjusted accordingly. A few days of fewer calories may be the ticket to confusing your body.

LOL jon, 110lb guy giving bulking advice, hehe.

I agree with Broadstreet.

hehe...Some of the greatest ideas in bodybuilding were from people who weren't exceptionably big. Not taking my advice because I weigh only a 110 seems very closed minded. You may not have taken into account the possibility that I don't have a large intestine or any other variables. How much do the bantam weights compete at? 130...that doesn't seem extremely big therefore we aren't aloud to take advice from them because TheSupremeBeing would scoff and it.

You don't have a large intestine?? I'm no doctor, but you may want to get that checked out.

, when I was younger I had ulcerative colitis. Because of the extent of the disease I had to have it removed.
