I have a question on calorie intake. My work out partner is 5ft 7 he weighs 220lbs. He would like to get ripped for the summer. Knowing how important calorie intake is, were tryna find out what should be a healthy daily calorie intake for a 220lb male to lose 50lbs ASAP! (atleast by month of May) I never till now started payin attention to calorie intake up intill now. I went & checked a calorie counter, it sayin' to maintain a body of weight of 220lbs with little or now exercise, the daily intake should be 2496 calories a day. So I checked it for lose weight with moderate exercise it said calorie intake for tha day should be 2724 calories.??? So I need help because I don't understand how it says to maintain body of 220lb's u need 2496 cals a day with no exercise, but to LOSE weight a 220lb male should eat 2724 cals a day??? Are these numbers right? Will this help a 220lb male lose up to 10-15lbs a month? Please help me........
