just need a bit of advice, one of my friends is trying to lose weight, she is 5'7 and 150lbs with 33% body fat, she has lost approx 50lbs in about 2 years, but she seems to have totally stopped losing weight as in totally. She goes to the gym about 5 times a week and does 45 mins of cardio vascular exercise. I have suggested she starts doing a bit of weight training as well so she is doing 1 session of that as well. At present she is only eating 1000-1200 calories, she hasnt always eaten this little or exercised this much. Have any of you got much knowledge on "starvation mode"? I believe this is too little for her? She is constantly tired and frequently gets headaches and fear that her body may be trying to hold on to the fat as it thinks its starving. I have suggested she eats more like 1600 a day?
