Cardio Absolutely Necessary?

I do full body 2 times a week and I LOATHE cardio (annoying not difficult). Is it absolutely necessary to get lean and cut?

No, but it will definitely help. Have you tried implementing some circuit training into your resistance training routines to try and reap the benefits of both? You may also consider checking out my journal; you can see the unorthodox methods I use for cardio. I hate solid state crap too, but the complexes and circuits I do keep me entertained and focused.
 
Depends on your bodytype.

I basically never perform cardio (other than for health reasons) and I stay lean most of the time.

It all depends on the type of body you have.
