Do you EVEN FUQQING care?
OK, here's a weird question, maybe someone can answer. I read that some fighters wear boots during cardio sessions to improve foot speed. I'm not sure if this will really improve foot speed as much as giving you the feeling of being faster when you take the boots off.

My question though is, will training with boots on be detremental to my body? Will this injure my feet or calves in any way? I'm thinking of trying to wear my work boots when I skip rope for 40 minutes tonight.

I'll bet if you put in those supportive soles in your boots your feel will be fine. Just make sure they have the proper support! (you know they sell those insoles everywhere now).

Even in the military they wear running shoes, not boots, when doing cardio/running.

Not always the case.... we ran in boots and utes and after a 5 mile run your soles felt flat, your shins were killing you and your knees felt.. uh old!!!

If anything just add some ankle weights but I think you are right it's just the sensation of your feet feeling lighter..

well i don't know if this helps, but when i hike its not with lgt/wgt hiking boots its with big insulated boots 3.5lbs a piece,i'm tired afterwards but my joints feel fine:thumb:

When was this?

I was in the military in 1990, and we had to wear running shoes.

Hmmm must have been the Army....

Weekly in the Marines we ran it boots and utes...

Back in the early 80's, we ran in boots in the USAF. Not in boot camp. I don't remember having to run in the Coast Guard.

To answer the question I think I would get some light ankle weights and use a good pair of shoes.

Yes, the Army.

However, I think that all branches now run in tennis shoes.
