Hey all, just wanted to know if doing cardio after a workout was good, because i have heard that you only burn fat when you run in the morning on an empty stomach. I have just completed a bulking cycle and now wish too cut, and am adding cardio at 4 times a week, 45 minutes but i cannot do it in the morning seeing as I'm not a morning person lol. Someone told me that when you do cardio at night you are only burning what you ate during the day and not actually burning fat off of your body, Any responses would be appreciated.

Everything you've heard is a load of horseshit. After workout is fine; doing cardio on an empty stomach can actually turn you catabolic. Think about it: We as bodybuilders try to eat every 2-3 hours. So what happens when you go ten hours since your last meal, then do strenuous activity to boot? A lot of people at least have a whey shake and some BCAA's before cardio in the morning. Personally I wake up, eat breakfast, go lift, and add cardio to the end of my lifting.

Yes you heard a bunch of shit I agree with M.Pump. You could also reduce the amount of time you spend doing cardio by incorporating HIIT into your routine, maybe Max-OT but i have never tried that. HIIT is great for speeding up the metabolism, burning fat, and still keeping the gains you made from lifting.

Thanks for the replys guy i figured this guy was bsing and that you guys knew ur shit so now im glad i can stick to my rountine, oo and by the way what is hiit training?

High Intenstiy Interval Training

if you click the search button up there and type in HIIT and hit enter your will get hundreds adn hundreds of threads on the subjet, how to set up a HIIT training session and pretty much more information than you want or need to know about the topic.

Some guys don't like HIIT, you'll notice most pro's go for time. But it can be good stuff if done properly/timely.
