First off this is probably a dumb question but cardio everyday is good right? 30 minutes a day is what I do unless I do a cardio day.

What is a good amount of cardio to do a day to lose weight? 30 minutes seems to be doing it for me. Along with dieting.

Is it good to have a cardio only day? Like an hour and a half of cardio only, or an hour and a half of cardio with upper body, Or an hour and a half of cardio with legs? Which would be the best and which would be the worst? Or does it even matter?

I do alot of cardio bro. Cardio is a big part of losing weight ,and especially if it's working for you then stick with it. Some will tell you to give your body a rest ,but I don't... I do it everyday as much as I can. Cardio only day? Doesn't really make sense.. i just incorporate it in with my usual workouts. And as far as upper body cardo etc etc.. I don't know what you mean...

Like I usually do thirty minutes of cardio a day but about two or three times a week I like to do an hour(+) of cardio. I basically want to know if an hour of cardio and legs on the same day is bad?

Some would argue that cardio on top of an intense leg day is overkill on your legs - I would say its not necessary.

What type of cardio do you do? Steady state? Running ? Walking?

To say "how much" cardio is needed is a hard question to answer - depends on where you are coming from, what your goals are, what your training is and, of course, what your diet is.

For trying to lose weight, unless you're extremely overweight HIIT has it all over steady state IMO. I agree with Sassy though that HIIT probably is overkill after a leg day.
15 Minutes of Intervals after my weight training and I'm on my way home to refeed.

Well I do thirty minutes on the seated bike everyday. But some days I like to do an extra amount of cardio, on those days I do thirty minutes on the seated bike, thirty minutes on the stair stepper, and around ten minutes jogging on the treadmill.

My goals are to stay a little bit in shape and mainly to lose fat for a six pack which I can slightly see coming in. My diet is that 'do it yourself' diet somewhere on here. Half my weigh in carbs and my full weight in protein. Seemed to work wonders.

@rahas: Yeah I'm not extremely overweight. I've got close to a flat stomach. I do thirty minutes instead of fifteen but I do it on the seated bike which seems to be easier than treadmill, standing bike, stair stepper, and all those. Plus the seated bike is easy because I can listen to music and play games on my iPod. Great way to pass the time.

If you can do all this running ,and you want to run to lose weight. HIIT is whats best for most people. It is quick, fast, and to the point. You will notice results lots faster PRoBably. Definitely look into it.

Sounds near perfect. Except, well, what is HIIT?
