Ive been looking at maybe trying this magazine out. I was looking at it today in the docs office any of you heard of it? It looks pretty good, lots of tips and 6 week menu and shopping guide too. Also any of you know of any good protien bars? The other day I tried Power Bar Protien Plus it rocked as far as flavor but sugars was pretty high. They also make a 1g sugar bar but I doubt it tastes as good....

As hard as this may be, make every attempt NOT to give in to stuff like protein bars. I am as guilty of this as anyone, but as many Mods have stated here repeatedly, WHOLE FOODS are the way to go. Protein bars, energy bars, et al are usually just a lot of marketing and not much else.

I figured that, but they are a good quck fix. The gas station just so happens to sell them down the street from my club/gym I go to and it seemed like the only healthy thing in there to eat after a good cardio workout.....

re power bars

While whole foods are best, if one is unable to eat that way at times, and does not have access to making a protein shake, then how to keep up with the necessary grams of daily protein?

Could someone comment on the Nitro-Tech protein bars? They advertise 30 grams of protein with only around 270 calories with 6 grams of Net Impact carbs.

Are there better ones out there? I am watching my calorie count as I am looking to lose fat.

I have used EAS products in the past. They offer a line of low carb, low/no sugar low cal. bars that are tolerable.
