Does anybody do them? And do they have any benefits for hypertrophy? I haven't done them since football but am thinking they may shock my delts and traps a bit.

I was 180 my senior year and 195 my freshman year of college ball.

I was a 1st team all-state safety my senior in Illinois Class 4A for the 2007-2008 school year. Look it up you fat worthless unathletic redneck.
 
Personally I have always liked all the olympic lifts.

That being said, idk how much they benefit hypertrophy
 
They're actually quite good at adding hamstring, delts and trap hypertrophy aside from the many smaller muscle areas being hit indirectly.
I would imagine putting them as your first compound would be a very wise thing to do, starting with 3 to 5x3-5 reps and just continue to better the weight. I also add these as a precursor to deads.
 
I don't care for them to be honest.

I played that til being 6'0 and white stopped me. Quit the team cuz I'd rather shoot rock with the fiends.
