An alternate reality.
OK, my first question is about the basic principle behind the claims. The Cortislim manufacturer states that Cortislim blocks the fat hormone Cortisol. I thought Cortisol was the byproduct of intense muscular contractions. Am I getting confused again or is this just more junk science from another supp. seller? My second question is, does anyone have any firsthand experience with Cortislim and does it work? Finally, my third question is, now that Ephedra is taboo, what's the best fat burner on the market. (For you a$$holes out there I'm talking about fat burner pills, I know diet and exercise are BEST. :p ) I'm getting to the age where I need a little help in the fat loss department. :(

I don't know anything about the product but Cortisol is a hormone released during stress. Released cortisol causes muscle breakdown and raises blood sugar levels and we all know what that means - FAT STORAGE!

Don't knwo about Cortislim...sounds like they're confusing lactic acid and cortisol...

The proven corticol bullet seems to be 7-keto/7-oxo DHEA, available in pill or transdermal form (Ab-Solved) without b.s. additives.

BEST fat burners:

Ephedrine HCL + Yombine HCL

what he said

Cortislim doesnt do shit. It has nothing to do with cortisol. They just named it that hoping to capitalize on the buzzword factor.

So I suppose you're gonna tell me to get my lazy ass in the gym and WORK.

yes...I was thinking that.

but honestly I asked Terry Giles about that several months ago. he said it was bogus...

From the website:

Ingredients: Vitamin C, calcium, chromium, Cortiplex Blend (magnolia bark extract, beta-sitosterol, theanine), Leptiplex Blend (green tea extract, bitter orange peel extract), Insutrol Blend (banaba leaf extract, vanadium).

= bullshit product

The only thing in it that has a known effect on cortisol is phosphatidylserine. Their dose is about 10 times less than the clinically supported dose.

From all that I have read, PS is superior to 7-keto.

Here be a link, NOW's PS is pretty cheap.

I've been using PS daily for several weeks now at ~750mg. Cant say ive noticed anything too spectacular, beyond my joints just starting to give me a little trouble. I'm probably going to stop dosing it in about a week. Or at the least, move my dose to pre-workout instead of early AM. Im beginning to think that disrupting the morning cortisol spike could be why ive been having trouble dropping fat lately. I also want to know if my gains slow at all.

You would want to take it around your workout. I always took it immediately before. I noticed that when I did cardio that the ammonia smell from my sweat was not there. Don't know why you would take it early am.

Well, from what i read, its cortisol reducing effects last roughly 12 hours. I was normally hitting the gym just a couple hours later, anyway.

When i first started taking it, i felt i had chronically elevated cortisol... so AM seemed like the time to dose it. Ive got maybe a 4 weeks supply left, so ill mess around with the dosing.

If you live in an area that has a Trader Joe's (speciety grocery store) then you can get PS for the same price, minus the shipping. I bought a bottle (6O gels of 100mg) for 23 dollars. Just another place you could look.

I would say anything would pretty much beat cortislim. :D

curiousity- I believe Bulknutrition has twice as much for like $10 more. That is where I got mine.

You're scared of LAM aren't you??:shake:

It is the same price as NOW Foods' PS (on NOW's website), which you recommended earlier.

I just took a look at Bulknutrition. Thanks.
