On the average how much does it cost for a personal trainer for and hour.

At my gym trainers cost $65-85 an hour. Research and make sure you find the right one though. There's a lot of dipshits out there that just read a book and passed a test. Find someone that walks the walk, and can help you reach your goals.
 
At my local gym I think it's $20.00 - $25.00 an hour. The way to find out would be to ask at your local gym.
 
Well the trainer I have been working with charges $ 100 per month. approx 1 hr per day , 4 to 5 days a week. He definetly walks the walk. he trains alot of people.

I am not a big fan of the body part split for a variety of reasons....one of the main ones being the imbalance between pushing to pulling movements and the possible shoulder issues that this MAY create down the road.

can you give more details about your training? exercises, sets, reps? does he have program lay out for you? IE, what you are going to work on over 12 weeks and how that breaks down?

I still have "discussions" with personal trainers about this shit.

Id kill to meet one, just one person that says "push/pull" in person. I dont even need to hear "legs," just "push" would be sufficient.

I am not going to say that doing body parts is terribly bad....I think it needs to be cycled into a whole program.

the main problem when working with people in a one-on-one setting is that they are typically only going to be able to pay for 2 sessions a week (sometimes three). So, you don't have much time and there are a ton of things that need to be done.

I am thinking of stopping the whole train 2x's a week deal and instead of selling sessions or packages of sessions, I would transition to something like a 12 week training program (flat fee) or a flat monthly fee where you pay that price and you come in as many times as the program (that I write) dictates, in order to reach your goal.....recovery workouts and everything.

I do the split because of my work schedule. I work 24 hrs and have 48 off.
He has 3 weeks planned out in advance then start over. So each week is a little different. we work the same body parts but different exercises.

yea, it is a tough call without knowing more about you...goals, how well you function, how well you recover, etc.....there is so much that goes into coming up with a program.

If you are happy with the training and you are happy with the results you are getting then I guess you have nothing to complain about.

I'm 6 ft, 173 lbs. Been working out for 2 months now< I see a few changes and some other people see changes in me. I feel better about myself so I guess thats all that matters. Have been thin all my life and I'm not gettn any younger so time to change that. I'll post some pics further on in the progress. I was just hoping that being 39 I would still be able to get gains and so far have had no problem. I'm taking cyto-gainer, muscle-milk and CEE.and clean eating. about recovery havent had any problems yet..
 
Can I ask what you do that has you working 24Hrs and then having 48hrs off??

thats some intense shift work right there..
