guys, in another thread, it's been recommended to me to count macronutrients rather than calories as the calories will fall into place. good advice i think.

i've been looking at the net and researching the subject but there's a lot of conflicting info about how many grams of each macronutrient i should be consuming daily to lose fat.

so, i'm putting it out to you guys to see what your advice is?

i'm 5' 6", currently weigh 161lbs (73.4kg's) 41 years old

Use fitday.com to track your intake and just go about 500 below maintenance to cut. There are a lot of ways to loose weight but slow and steady is the best.

Well first off I feel that protein should stay pretty consistent. Keep that around 300g or so for your size. Fats should be good at 75g a day or so then minimal carbs. Id say 150g max. That's about 2475 calories. Depending on your body type you could modify it a bit. That's not set in stone, just a general idea.

Remember
1g Protein - 4 calories
1g Carb - 4 calories
1g Fat - 9 calories
