Just wondering what you all thought of this:
I stopped taking creatine a few weeks ago because I was getting nasty side cramps during my mountain bike rides. It seemed like every time I would ride, I'd get cramps so bad that it hurt to breathe. I've heard of other bikers cramping up while on creatine. Since I stopped taking creatine, I have not cramped up on a ride once (and I ride basically all weekend). I am wondering if it's just psycological, or if maybe the creatine was causing the cramping. Looks to me like from now on, I will only take creatine in the cold-weather season so it does not interfere with my riding.
FYI, I was taking 5g creatine after my workouts. On non-workout days (including biking days), I'd take 5g with a morning shake.
