So after about two years of battling elbow tendonitis in both arms, I'm finally almost back to where I was before the initial onset of the injury. Best things I've done for it was taking off 4 weeks from bi and tri work, stretches (forearm and wrist flexion and eccentric exercises), and supplementing with Cissus quadrangularis (specifically a supp called Elbow Revive that has cissus, plus glucosamine, msm, chondroitin, and other anti-inflammatory stuff in it). I noticed the biggest improvements after about 4 weeks of taking Elbow Revive (highly recommend it), so I think that had a lot to do with it, but also the daily exercises and stretches helped a lot too. I feel like I'm almost back to the point where I can start working tri's a bit harder, but I'm scared that I'll push too hard and bring back the tendonitis/tennis elbow. I plan on continuing the stretches and taking Elbow Revive for another month or so, but if anyone has any advice specifically pertaining to PREVENTING elbow tendonitis, I'd really appreciate your input.
