Ratio's mean nothing... Go by what your body needs.

And that should be determined by things such as your total weight, your lean mass, your training (type, duration, intensity), your sex, your age and.. ermm... you have any 'assistance'...

ya man ratios is too hardcore for me, i used to coutn my cals but i dont anymore. I just go by eating right or eating bad

I like to keep my protein an fat the same as my normal bulking diet and just cut back on carbs with each meal. I treat food like medication and the only way you know what you are eating is if you measure! Cut back gradually like 50 calories per meal each week or two. Your body will gradually start utilizing fat stores but you wont go extremely catabolic. If you cut out too much too fast your metabolism will crash and you won't feel well at all. Another strategy you could use is to have alternating normal and low carb days. Go lower carb on the days you don't workout. A slow gradual cut will spare more muscle. Everyone is made a little different so one type of diet won't work for everyone. Some people like to run right away in the AM on an empty stomach. Not for me. Good luck.

what i'll do is eat 1.5g of protein per bodyweight, 20% of cals of fat and the rest carbs.
would i then need a carb up?

That is approximately 315 g of carbs based on what you have posted. You don't need a carb up.

He's a loser, never mind him. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Instead, he posts other peoples work instead of giving them credit oh and he loves talking trash about IM too.

if i do 250 g of carbs per day,it would a ratio of 50% protein,30% carbs .20% fat.
would that be good? if i ate 50/30/20,would i then need a carb up?

No you wouldn't.... but what is your reason for dropping the carbs down to 250?

and? Cutting doesn't necessarily mean you have to drop carbs, what it comes down to is cals in vs cals out. You have to find a suitable macro range that works for you.

50% of your diet in protein!

Balance your diet better.

I don't know. I don't go by percentage.

Set your protein first as far as grams go. What is the ratio per LB of BW you are shooting for.

then everything else will fall into place as you balance it around your protein intake.

of what i've read they say 1-1.5 g of protein per pound of bw. i weigh 225 lbs.
